| Organisations simply reflect human nature... |

Healthy organisations create healthy people. And those vital people are important for creating happy and contented clients and a healthy financial organisation. Hard and soft facts, ideals and reality can be considered as one. Finding, creating and solidifying this equilibrium is the challenge of organisational leadership. Healthy people converts into a functional company. "Developing people is developing business". So simple and logical as it sounds, so unpredictable and complicated is the relationship between people and an organisation. Company targets and practice often diverge in reality. People can, in spite of all good intentions, get tired or disillusioned with the company for which they work. Especially in organisations that are managed in a way described by Henri Mintzberg as “machine bureaucracy” leave their workers vulnerable. Often, because such organisations unconciously are seen and managed as efficiently working machines. This completely overlooks the fact that modern companies are hardly capital intensive but are mainly based on human assets. So beware, organisations simply reflect human nature... |
